You've Gotta Hand It To Them - Cured Cafe

Cured has been operating for a little while now, and we've frequented the cafe many times as they have made their way through the early days of high enthusiasm to something more sustainable.
In their earliest incarnation the vibe was very much a Turkish-Mumma kitchen. There were cured meats for sale and lots of yummy little cakes and biscuits as well.

Then there was a phase where the cured meats were gone and over all the offerings seemed somewhat pared back, however we went back again this morning and we were delighted to see that the mood had once again changed and definitely for the better. There were meats once more in the display cabinet and generous offerings in the cake section. There had also been a revamp out the front which now creates a very welcoming entrance.

Even though we have eaten at Cured on several occasions, they've obviously made a lot of changes so I guess I can only comment on what we had this morning, which was breakfast. I had the 'luxurious' scrambled eggs with
 thick cut bacon.

I'm not really a big fan of scrambled eggs, as few people can do them well, and I ordered them this morning in a spirit of adventurousness. They were excellent! Perfect consistency, moist but not watery and really nicely seasoned, served with lovely soughdough toast from the local bread company, Sprout.

Husband had 'The Remedy', which was the classic bacon, eggs, sausages and everything else.

He thought it was great. Very tasty and all the components were fresh and well prepared. The service was good and the dishes came out nicely presented and in a timely fashion. The soy lattes were pretty good, I'd rate them a six out of ten, maybe a seven. The coffee smell in there is great, I suspect that non soy drinkers would be very happy with the coffee and Cured do seem to take pride in offering good coffee.

There is a comfy, cozy vibe to Cured, with their booth style seating and plump cushions. It's a great place to kick back with a coffee and just chat and take your time as there is no pressure from staff to move you along.
I really can't find anything to complain about at Cured and I admire the way that they have continued to fine tune the cafe in the interest of getting it right. One thing though,  if you  like a glass of wine with your meal, take note that Cured is not licensed nor is BYO allowed, it's strictly alcohol free which may or may not affect your decision.

Is it a Great Eat? Yes
